Haymarket Books and Mariame Kaba are committed to donating copies of Mariame’s new book We Do This ’Til We Free Us  to organizations supporting people who are incarcerated. We invited groups to reach out to us to let us know if they’d like to receive copies. More than 40 organizations responded and they've requested more than 4,000 books already.

Haymarket Books is raising funds to cover some of the costs of the books and shipping, and will continue in an ongoing way to donate books to people who are incarcerated. We’ve already received some generous funding to offer some books but we welcome donations in any amount to be able to cover all of our donation requests. We want to give a special thank you to the Marguerite Casey Foundation for their generous donation towards getting copies of We Do This 'Til We Free Us to people who are incarcerated.
