President Trump is attacking what he calls "left-wing indoctrination" in history classes that he claims teach students to disown America's founding ideals. We believe that history should be taught through an antiracist, feminist, intersectional lens and we encourage educators and students to think critically about the past as a way of fighting for a more just present and future America. 

We stand with activists and organizations that challenge the white supremacist narrative of history that Trump is advocating and we support the work of Zinn Education Project, Rethinking Schools and Black Lives Matter at School and those who continue to battle for an anti-racist, inclusive education for all students. 

In the spirit of resistance and critical pedagogy we have compiled a list of classroom resources and history books that center the voices of those who fight oppression and struggle for liberation.
